Release News: All Rave Culture Radio episodes will be available on Spotify On December 17th

 Good News for those of you looking to grab some of the best music offered to date, Rave Culture Radio which is run by W&W will be available on Spotify starting mid December. I have started adding them and I am currently finishing Episode 046 with making sure the correct tracks are added. I will update the bi weekly episodes currently but I’m not expecting the full episodes from 2017-2022 will be added until December. W&W are famous Trance DJs that have been on the scene since at least 2007. They started their own show in 2017 featuring Big Room; Progressive House and Trance. I unfortunately don’t have the access to the audio from those shows so it will be playlists only. However this is definitely exciting because there will be a lot of tracks that you haven’t heard before. Stay Tuned for the release Dates here!!!

A State of Trance 2016 and Armin Only Embrace World Tour Spotify Playlists

Well, here we are. We’re about to look at another year in trance and progressive with a review of Armin Van Buurens radio shows from 2016, and some of the best of festivals from A State of Trance. Spotify into that year continued to have missing songs from each episode so I took the opportunity to fill in the songs that were missing. I will continue to have these reviews even after all the episodes I fixed up runs out. Let’s have a look at the year 2016. 

2016 Brought in a lot of new albums and honestly it was the best year for the big room side of Trance.  It was also the year for Armin Van Buurens big festivals for Armin Only Embrace, trance also took on less of that big room sound with some elements of it still present. It also started sounding more uplifting with a blend of 138BPM, and psytrance started mixing in. That’s something I didn’t like as it didn’t have that uplifting energizing feel instead it started sounding like a mish mash of Uplifting but progressive and psytrance. I guess the variety is good. There were celebrations in Utrecht once again with it being the 4th year in a row being held there. Also A State of Trance celebrated its 15th year on air this year. As for albums this year Gareth Emery Came out with his album called 100 Reasons to live, Mark Sherry came out with Outburst Prism Volume 1, Alex Morph came out with Not all superheroes wear Capes, Adam Ellis came out with in Trance we Trust 021, Coming Soon a PsyTrance artist came out with a unique title called “the album” #LOL. Also Giuseppe Ottaviani came out with an album called Alma, Armin came out with Club Embrace, DJ Eco came out with the album Wolves, Ferry Corsten came out with 2 albums. Called Hello World and Goureyella from the heavens.  so many good tunes from this year. The tune of that year was also called Unbreakable by Aly and Fila . As for the theme that year, it was called Together in A State of Trance welcomed by Ben Golds song he created specifically for that year. If you ask me my favourite tunes from that year have to be, the story so far by Gareth Emery, 7FT by Freitergeist, Saltwater Kryder Remix, Crocodile Tears by Kryder, Once in a lifetime Love Andrew Rayel, Zanarkand Shogun, Heading Up High Kensington, Moda by Hal Stucker, Save me by Gareth Emery, All or Nothing by Ben Gold, Lies Cost Nothing by Clare Stagg, Elements by Vlind, Faith and Hope by Ultimate, Again by Armin Van Buuren and Betsie Larkin, Love me like you never did Markus Schulz and Ethan Thompson. As well as some of the more progressive tracks like high on life by Rodg, Coral by Hal Stucker and Open Wide by Ruben De Ronde, Last Stop before heaven Ruben De Ronde and Armin Van Buuren. A Million Voices by Aly and Fila as well as Unbreakable were my top picks.

A State of Trance 2015 Spotify Playlists

 Hello and welcome back to an adventure in Trance music land, this is going to be amazing as we look back on the year 2015 and go down memory lane to what was an astounding year for trance music. I do know from experience that listening to the episodes from 2015 was the year that had very different styles of production,  progressive trance mixed in with uplifting 138BPM, while big room (heavy loud bass and drums) was still present but just not as wide reaching as 2012-2014 trouse was dissapearing but still there (Trance and House) . 2015 brought in a swashbuckling of new artists and some of the older pioneers of trance music like Paul Van Dyk and Giuseppe Ottavani releasing new artist albums. There was also the return of Armin Only during this year as he released his embrace album during the second half of the year. He had some of the most interesting artist collaborations as he blended in jazz, country, pop and a little bit of rock to his album with Kensington. There also was a return of Ferry Corstens Gouryella alias, which led to another album being released called Gouryella from the Heavens. (You can guess the tune of the year in a quiz below.) Also there’s the fact that this same year, armin came back with his rising star alias after returning from his hiatus from 2004 to 2015. Also this was the year that armin celebrated his 700th Episode celebrations of A State of Trance. 

My favourite songs from this year is #OnFire by Abstract Vision, Embrace by Armin Van Buuren, Fireball by Arisen Flame, Don by Orjan Nilsen, Lights by Guiseppe Ottavani and City of Sound by Paul Van Dyk, Panta Rhei by Mark Sixma and Armin Van Buuren.

A State Of Trance 2014 Episodes Spotify Access

Well Long awaited finally we will have a look at all of the A State of trance radio shows and festivals in 2014: 

In my opinion 2014 was the beginning of Trance 2.0 in my personal opinion, diverse electronic sounds integrated into beautiful Melodie’s and rythyms not seen since 2007, bigroom trance came into the picture in 2012. Just some of the most energizing and motivating years for trance with a lot of classics starting to get remixes. For instance in your loving arms was remixed, 1998 Binary Finary was remixed by James Dymond, Signum and RAM remixed John O Callaghan’s Big Sky, Solarcoaster from Solarstone in 2002 was remixed by Protoculture. some of Armin’s intense songs were also remixed this year. If anyone has second opinions about my thoughts let me know.

My favourite songs from 2014 would have to be Music is more than mathematics, New Light Agnelli and Nelson Protoculture remix, Gaia Empire of Hearts, one in a million by Andrew Rayel, For all time Aly and Fila, Tomorrow People by Omnia, Now or Never by Tritional, Jar of Hearts by Dash Berlin and here tonight by Dash Berlin,  RAM, Ramelia, Without you by Aly and Fila, Need you now how many times by Plumb and Bryan Kearney, Two Hands by Omnia, Furia Cold Blue, and U by Gareth Emery, Hystero by Armin Van Buuren, and Brush Strokes by Simon Patterson. UPDATED: A State of Trance 2013 Playlists

 Hello Everyone I have been busy over the past couple of months adding playlists like crazy as you know, we are going to have a full look at the playlists over the year 2013, unfortunately this is the year that a lot of trance artists mixed in the new sounds of Electronic Dance music especially the big room sounds. Tracks lost a lot of melody and seemed to add the elements of house into trance  (Trouse) This was the year that Armin also won a Grammy award for the song This is what it feels like with Trevor Guthrie and I do still hear it on the radio at times, just goes to show trance went into the modern pop scene this year. There was some really good trance that came out still, especially Ucast Genesis, Violins Revenge by Lange, the light by Omnia, Beautiful Life by Armin Van Buuren and Ana Criado, Skylarking by BT and black hole by Christina Novelli and Craig Connelly , an angels love by Alex Morph I also loved the track Waiting for the night. This was the year Armin’s intense album was released and he gained international attention with it , even being featured on talk shows like the Wendy Williams Show.

A State of Trance 2012 Spotify Playlists

 Well looking over the trance scene 2012 was another year of trance that seemed to bring forward a lot of a new trance artists like Andrew Rayel, Ruben De Ronde, Mark Sixma, Arty and some of the best tunes that I can remember in recent years. Also Armin VanBuuren was voted number 1 DJ the 5th consecutive time I, other years were 2007,2008,2009,2010. I was in high school in Grade 11 this year and I do remember purchasing the A State Of Trance annual 2012 CD and yearmix this year. I loved playing it at every opportunity that I could find. My favourite songs from that year are, Omnia and Ira The fusion, Marlo Megalodon Miss you paradise by Emma Hewitt and Shogun, I don’t deserve you by Paul Van Dyk and Plumb, I’ll listen by Armin Van Buuren and Ana Criado, Infina by Omnia, We are here to make some noise by Armin Van Buuren, World Falls Apart by Dash Berlin.
